This book combines both academic and practical applications, from lived experience. I grew up bi-culturally in the Barrio in Southern California, immersed in my community. Then, majored in the language and have an Associates in Spanish, (1980), Bachelor's Degree in Bi-Lingual Education, (1983) and Master's in Cross-Cultural Counseling, (1988). Every job I've had has been in a Bi-Lingual capacity, which always paid more. So there's many incentives to learn Spanish these days, and my book makes it accessible.
