Moundbuilders of Ancient America: A Legacy Reclaimed about my Wind Clan Ancestors, is the book where I finally gathered decades of Muskogee history, family stories, and careful archival digging into one place. I trace my Hadjo line back 8 generations in the book, through records, oral tradition, and site visits to Southeastern mound landscapes, so you can feel how living families connect to the larger story of Native presence in this land.

If you grew up hearing whispers about Native roots but never saw those stories in school, this Muskogee heritage book can give you an untold story, context, and names to hold onto. I write in a grounded, conversational way, so researchers, elders, and young readers can all sit with these pages together. It's well documented research, with sources cited.

Use Wind Clan Ancestors alongside your own research, as a reading circle text, or as a gift for someone piecing together an Afro-Indigenous history that has felt scattered or erased. Every chapter is an invitation to remember that family lines are not abstract charts-they are people whose choices and survival still shape who you are today. They can also link us beyond these shores. Because before I even DNA tested, In 2015, I met a man in Tobago, sister island to Trinidad, Dr. Morgon Job, who stopped me one morning and asked if I was AmerIndian. I told him yes, I had been researching, and just found a connection between my Mississippian Ancestors, and the OLMEC of Mexico (Meso-America). He said he was not surprised, because he once worked in Latin America, and if I went to Peru or Mexico, I would find my family and many people who look just like me. I told him I had experienced that on a 1992 visit to Acapulco, Mexico, where I encountered many Afro-Mexicanistas. So, when I DNA tested two years later, in 2017, and the Meso-American Ethnic Admixtures came out, everything fell into place.
